Memoir Writing with Sheila Quealey – Seven Weeks Memoir is a literary term that means from memory. Memoir is an account of the author’s personal experiences – it tries to capture certain highlights or meaningful experiences from the past. Memoir is a unique form of life writing that allows the author to confront and contemplate a significant period in their life and through the creative process share their experience and insights with others. If you have a life story that you have been waiting to write and if you would like to learn more about the memoir genre and participate in creative writing lessons, contact Friars’ Gate. Fee €100. Creative Writing: Advanced Course - 6 weeks (daytime) The advanced creative writing workshop at Friar’s Gate Theatre aims to guide the writer to polish their technique and individual style in search of a voice that is strong and unique. We will continue to examine and re-examine the story structure and the elements of creative writing.
